This weekend sees the most glamorous grand prix of the year and the only one I’ve walked round, in fact the only F1 circuit I’ve been to, the Monaco Gran Prix.
We eagerly wait to see if Brawn and Jenson Button can continue their current for and win another GP. After Thursday practice both Brawns are running well we shall see what happens tomorrow in qualifying, but as always with Monaco anything can happened and probably will.
Unfortunately I don’t have the view I had last November:

Jenson Button and Brawn GP showed the world the Britain can still win motor races.
Jenson put the Brawn GP on pole for the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya and went on to win. He didn’t get the best start that honour went to Rubens Barrichello, who got off to a flyer from third on the grid to lead into the first corner. Jenson had to follow Rubans until the second round of pit stops when Jensons strategy allowed him to get past Rubans. This takes Jenson to four wins so far and a 14 point lead in the championship. We move on to Monaco in two weeks time can Brawn GP Maintain their impressive form.

This weekend is one which petrol head and race fans can spend the entire weekend watching motorsport. The second round of the 2009 MotoGP continues at the twin ring Motegi in Japan, can Rossi show Stoner how it’s done and get back on his winner form of 2008. Rossi made a good start to the weekend by going fastest in Friday practice, but only by 0.05 seconds. We also have the 250s and 125s Can Bradley Smith stay at the sharp end? Will Scott Redding show his form? Can Marco Simoncelli return to 250 with a win?
Round three of the F1 championship sees the drivers in Bahrain can Jenson and Brawn GP regain their winning form.
In Assen the World Superbike boys are back for the forth round the Dutch TT. Can Haslam and Sykes take the fight to Haga and Spies? In world Supersport can Cal Crutchlow take another win and extend his lead in the championship?
The weekend should provide more close racing action, 2009 is looking like being the year of the motor race.

Moto GP got off to an interesting start over the Easter weekend; the first race meeting of the year was always going to be interesting. However none expected the events that unfolded on Sunday night.
Sunday’s racing started with the 125’s we had good hopes for Bradley Smith starting from second. Unfortunately he got a bad start and was making his way back through the field when the heavens opened and the track was swamped with some unusual rain. Four laps in with Bradley up to fifth the race was stopped never to be restarted and became the shortest race in history with half points being awarded.
After a long delay we did get a shortened 250 race, 13 laps saw some very good racing in what should prove to be a very close season. Both Rookies and veterans of the 250 class were battling for the honours, in the end Hector Barbera came through to take the win proving he has recovered from his broken vertebrae.
Late Sunday night in Qatar saw the Moto GP boys line up on the grid, Cassey Stoner was on pole with Valentino Rossi second, we were all set for a good race between the two riders. As the mechanics cleared the grid ready for the riders to go off on their sighting lap the rain came and it didn’t stop. There was no way the race could take place the torrential rain left the track surface so shiny that the lights reflected in it made racing impossible, the race was cancelled.
Late into Sunday night and early into Monday morning the powers that be discussed what to do, and luckily for us and the riders, the race was rescheduled for Monday night. Rescheduling the race can’t have been easy but it was for the best as the fans and riders alike were all a little disappointed not to get a race on Sunday. I think Valentino Rossi summed it up nicely: "It is like having sex and your Mother walks into the room"
So Monday night and it’s back to the grid Stoner on Pole Rossi second, the race starts and Vale gets swamped that the first corner pushed all the way back down to fifth. The poor start from Rossi allowed Stoner to break away from the pack, Rossi made a valiant effort and did start to close the gap but the early battles had taken the edge of his tires and he had to settle for second. James Toseland had qualified in 13th and was battling in the points pack when he was pushed wide by Toni Elias, this left him fighting for the last point with Yuki Takahashi and Niccolo Canepa, but it wasn’t to be.
Round two is at the Twin ring, Motegi in Japan next weekend (24-26 April) so now we look forward to that. In the mean time we have the Grand Prix of China, can Jenson Button and Brawn continue their forum?

Jesnon Button secured pole for tomorrow's race in
Sepan, Jarno Trulli put his Toyota into second. The grid line up should give us a thrilling race, can Jenson repeat last weeks stunning debut for the Brawn GP? We certaintly hope so and will be watching the race live tomorow morning, showing our support for Jenson and the team.
Tomorrow we will see just how good the Brawn GP car is, role on tomorrow 10:00 am.

This weekend see the second round of the 2009 F1 season following on from the thrilling opening round in Australia just last weekend. Can Brawn GP build on their fantastic debut?
We also have round three of the Hannspree superbike world championship 2009 from Valencia, will Ben Spies win in Spain, could Lean haslam, Tom Sykes, Tommy Hill, Jonathan Rea or Shane Byrne do it for the UK? How will john Hopkins adjust from Moto GP to WSB?
So far in F1 the Ferrari's of
Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa area fastest after the second free practice session, the Brawn GP's of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button are in 6th and 7th.
In WSB Charlos Checa was fastest in the first free practice with all the Brits outside the top 10 along with Ben Spies and John Hopkins.

From pole leading all the way, from start to finish Jenson lead the race to
finish with the win. Rubens managed to bring the second Brawn GP car home in
second to end a fantastic first race of the 2009 F1 season.
An action packed race full of incidents lead to a thrilling finish, Jenson
in the Brawn had the car to beat and no one could get close enough to take its maiden
victory away. Rubens had a couple of taps but his Brawn took them well and he
kept it on the track unlike Vetal and Kubica who took each other out in the
closing stages of the race. Disappointing for Kubica as he was closing on
Jenson for the lead, whether he could of passed him for the win is another
matter. The loss of Vetal and Kubica meant the Rubens got up to second and the ensuing
safety car meant that Jenson on had a few hundred meters to run to the finish.
The party in Brakley will carry on long into the week and the smiles on Ross
brawn, Sir Richard Branson Jenson and Ruben’s faces will take a while to fade.
With only on week to the Malaysian Grand Prix we hope that they can continue this
form. Once again F1 is looking like entertainment.

Rubens completes the front row for an all Brawn front row.
What a first qualifying for Brawn GP the first race they turn up at with
only two testing sessions and a couple of months to their name and they lock
out the front row of the grid. We have to hope that Jenson and Rubens can
continue their form and get the race results. We will find out tomorrow morning
(coverage on BBC 06:00 - 09:00), this could be the season that brings excitement
back to F1. We wait with baited breath for an early start tomorrow.

With only a shakedown test at Silverstone and three days at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya, Jenson Button topped the timesheets with an unoffical time of 1:19.127 on esecond faster than that of Felipe Massa's Ferrrari and two and a half seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton's McLaren.
Could this be a Jenson with a renewed hunger to win and show Lewis how it's done? We have to hope so, Jenson has always shown that he has the ability to be pushing at the front and hopefully 2009 will be the year he has the car to do it in.
With only two weeks until the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne and three more test days in Jerez next week, F1 could be interesting again.
